She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Russell Hoy and Lucille Hathcock Hoy; her husband Ersal Leon Rice; and her siblings, Virginia Bond Childress, Wilma Lucille Adkison, Dorothy Owens, Doris Grace Carroll, Alice Fay Ferro, Alma Hoy Goff, Mary Ann Nash, Elbert Luther Hoy (Buddy), Winford Earl Hoy, William Russell Hoy, James Bentley "Jimmy" Hoy and Milton Wayne "Micky" Hoy.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Means (Terry) of Covington, TN, David Rice (Jane) of Owensboro, KY and Tim Rice of Murfreesboro, TN; and her grandchildren, Tiffany Sapp (Eric) of Owensboro, KY, Brandon Rice (Rachel) of Chrisney, IN, Kyle Rice (Monica) of Owensboro, KY, Katie Maxwell (Brian Swanson) of Memphis, TN and Jesse Maxwell of Covington, TN. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
