He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Lynell and Mary Elizabeth Chism Forrester. He is survived by: his wife Mary Yager Forrester; his children, James Forrester, Jr., Thomas Forrester, Alison Kirk and Jacob Forrester; and his siblings, Lester "Buck" Forrester, Dolphus Forrester, Peggy Carpenter, Ronnie Forrester, Brenda Alexander and Terry Forrester. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.
