It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Shane Tinsley of Covington, Tennessee, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Wayne Tinsley. He is survived by: his wife Christine Sumpter Tinsley; his children, Michael Hayden Tinsley (Millie) and Michaela Anne Cooley (Jacob); his mother Jimmye Beth Bunch Tinsley; his sisters, Rhonda Byrd, Susan Hemmenway and Alicia Empson; and his grandchildren, Corinna Tinsley and Ryance Cooley. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sterling Funeral Homes - Dayton (602 N Main St, Dayton, TX 77535). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Palms Memorial Park Cemetery (2421 N Hwy 146, Dayton, TX 77535).
