He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carter and Edna Long Carter; and his nephew Jim Kelley. He is survived by: his daughter Alecia Justice; his grandsons, Jacob Pitt (Madelyn), Jackson Justice and Jarrett Justice; his great grandchild Gracie Belle Pitt; and his sister Torre Kelley (Terry).
