He was predeceased by : his parents, Nelson Whitehorn and Bessie Whitehorn; his brothers, Otis, Stanley and Walter Sales Whitehorn; and his great grandchild Lillie Mae Glass.

He is survived by : his wife Shelby Whitehorn; and his children, Darrell Wayne Whitehorn (Leigh Ann), Brian Keith Whitehorn, Cynthia Daniel and Carla K. Smith (Danny). He is also survived by six grandchildren, & seven great-grandchildren.
