She was predeceased by : her parents, Wrice Powers and Annie Powers (Coker); her husband John Walker; her children, Wade Walker and Joy Short; and her grandson Jared Bailey.
She is survived by : her daughter Melinda Vineyard (James); and her grandchildren, John Bailey (Dawn), Lena Clark (Steven), Wesley Walker (Heather), Matthew Walker (Rebecca) and Christopher Vineyard (Theresa). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
