Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Verlon Melton of Crab Orchard, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 89, on June 6, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh G. Melton and Hazel Kilby Melton; his stepfather Carl Pugh; and his brother Herman Pugh. He is survived by: his wife Betty Melton of Crab Orchard, TN; his children, Wayne Melton of Crossville, TN and Cynthia Perdue (Dale) of Crab Orchard, TN; his brothers, Kenneth Melton (Joetta) of Crab Orchard, TN and Junior Pugh of Crab Orchard, TN; and his grandchildren, James Threet (Leah), Ben Melton and Willa Moss (Alan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crab Orchard Christian Church (217 Wheeler Ln, Crab Orchard, TN 37723). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Crab Orchard Christian Church.
