He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Ruben Clarence "Bob" Hamby; his son Charles Ruben Hamby; his stepsons, David Timothy Brock (Rhonda) and Justin Keith Brock (Rena); his sisters, Eva Redwine (Jerry) and Carolyn Hedgecoth (Jerry); his father Willis; and his wife Wanda Jean Hamby (Monday). He was also cherished by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
