He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Brown Gibbs; his son Anthony Gibbs; his grandson Travis Cook; his great grandchild Malia Head; and his parents, George F. Gibbs and Lillie Troutt Gibbs of Springfield.
He is survived by: his sister Cecelia Pratt of White House; and his daughters, Cheryl Binkley (Bill) of Alexandria, VA, Yolanda Reid (Joe) of White House, Farah Cook (Mark) and Dawn Gibbs of Springfield. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1150 Dickerson Rd, Goodlettsville, TN 37072). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
