The memory of Barbara Jean LaPland (Crossville, Tennessee), who passed away on July 24, 2025, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Barbara Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herbert Kelley and Geraldine Kelley; her children, Cory Flanders (Amy) of Palm Coast, FL and Stacia Willier (David) of Crossville, TN.; and her siblings, Sue Edelson (Hank) of Canton, GA and Jim Kelley (Dawn) of Orlando, FL. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (39 Browntown Rd, Crossville, TN 38572). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Family Cemetery (176 Happy Top Rd, Grandview, TN 37337).

“What a beautiful tribute! I love how Barbs family loved and cared for her. She was truly blessed. Her life was full and she was happy. Barb learned the art of "blooming where you are planted" early on. I'll always remember that first year we were roommates in college.....two crazy girls trying their wings.
