She was predeceased by: her parents, Wirt Lee Maynard and Helen Marie Wheeler Maryard; her husbands, Jerry Preston, James Hancock and Gary Sharp; her brothers, Terry Lee Maynard and Wirt Wayne Maynard; her son-in-law Jeff Greenwood; and her stepfather James Howard Maynard.
She is survived by: her close friend John McClain of Crossville, TN; her children, Jerry Wayne Preston of Crossville, TN, Christie St (Derrek) and Angela Greenwood of Crossville, TN; her grandchildren, Johnny Wayne Preston, Cierra Preston, Rhiannon Preston, Kayla Hughes (Matt), Joshua Kirby (Melissa), Jessica Davis, Kendra Morris (James), Scott Greenwood, Dylan Greenwood, Austin Greenwood and Isabella Greenwood; her sisters, Cathy Holmes (Jimmy) of Baxter, TN, Deborah Lamping of Brentwood, TN, Vicky James (William) of Lebanon, TN and Vinnie Neal (Flynn) of Lebanon, TN; and her sister-in-law Sandra Maynard of Lancaster, TN.. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home (71 E Main St, Gordonsville, TN 38563). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Gordonsville Cemetery (34 Hickman Hwy, Gordonsville, TN 38563).
Mrs. Sharp's family request memorial donations in her memory be made to Bass Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
