He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clifford Allen and Emma Pauline Rice Battles; his wife Mary Elizabeth Battles of Crossville, TN; his children, Sandi Furoni (Paul), Jeffrey Battles, Gregory Battles (Michelle), Andrew Battles (Cindy), Scott Battles (Olga), Lisa Vishaway (Todd) and James T. Brown (Barbara); his grandchildren, Athena Furoni, Cory Battles, Erin Battles, Savannah Battles, Jillian Battles, Brandyn Battles, Alisha Hanlon, Carissa Hanlon, Tyler Vishaway, Kiersten Vishaway and Cody Brown; his great grandchildren, Skylar Squires, Peyton Squires, Paislee Squires, Grayson Kelly and Aurora Battles; his stepgrandchild Meghan; his sister Linda Buttrey (Jim) of Rogers, AR; his stepsiblings, Linda Kimball of Des Moines, IA, Larry Bowers (Evelyn) of Colorado Springs, CO, Dennis Bowers (Sue) of Tacoma, WA and Fred Bowers (Maxine) of Bondurant, IA. H; his siblings, Carolyn M. Fredrick (Norman) of Knoxville, IA and Stan Battles of Margie Springs; and his granddaughter Jennifer Lee Hanson of Easthampton, MA.

He was such a nice Man, a good Man. When I moved I told my Sister, that Man right there, is one neighbor I will truly miss. Mary I wish I could come visit you .
