He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Cooper and Joyce Robinette; and his siblings, Randall Cooper, Timothy Cooper and Bonnie Lou.

He is survived by: his wife Angela Cooper; his children, Mitch Cooper (Laura), Melissa Cooper, Michael Lewis Harmon, PJ Harmon and Pamela Harmon; and his stepchildren, Jeremy Nolette, Gabriel Nolette (Sarah) and Jessica Nolette. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
