He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Linley Welch and Bernice Noreen Welch (Wyles); and his siblings, Thomas Linley, Henry Martin, Albert, Dorothy Love (Welch) and Vera Coleen Mullinax (Welch).
He is survived by: his wife Leda May Welch (Norrod); his sons, Ralph Welch Jr. and Michael Loren Welch; his grandsons, Duncan Ewdell Welch and Aidan Linley Welch; and his siblings, Darlean Mullinax (Welch), Norma Jean Turner (Welch), Bertha Harrison (Welch), Conrad Welch, Reval George Welch, William Rayburn Welch and Larry Van Welch. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
