He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara South and Carlos South; his wife Stella; and his sisters, June Beatty, Sue Eldridge and Frances Allen.
He is survived by: his son Chris (Michele); his grandchildren, Jared, Alyshia South, Patrick South, Shae Frady, Kristen and Nathan Garvin; his great grandchildren, Jackson Garvin, Hayden and Hunter Smith; Velma. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
