He was predeceased by: his parents, Willa Jowers and W. C. Upshaw; and his siblings, Sara Upshaw, Carolyn Harris, Ann Sahadi and Bill Upshaw.

He is survived by: his brother Jim Upshaw of Gardendale, AL; and his son Brian Thomas Upshaw of Crossville.

In lieu of flowers, Tom requested that memorial contributions be made to the charity or church of your choice.
