She was predeceased by: her husband Charles "Shep" Shepherd; her daughter Sherrill; her granddaughter Kristi Garrard; her parents, Clifford Belcher and Mildred Winters; her siblings, Garland Belcher, Janiece Gnewikow, Wanda Diven and Joyce; and her stepbrother Butch Belcher.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Garrard and Sharon Smith; her sons-in-law, Robert Garrard and Tim Smith; her grandsons, Michael, CJ Garrard, Justin, Brandon and Jared Smith; and her stepbrother Mark Belcher. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.

Even with Alzheimer's, her sense of humor would frequently resurface as she would say just one or two words and laugh.
