He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Lamar and Elaine Cheek Lamar; his wife Margaret Ann Goats; his brother Jimmie Lamar; and his great grandchild Walker Lazarz.
He is survived by: his children, Dave Lamar (Angela) and Peggy Hayes (Adam); his siblings, Kenneth Lamar (Cathy), Mirian Battersby and Ruth Lamar; his grandchildren, Brandy Pawson (Michael), Cassie Hallman, Brittany Pressley (Matt), Chasity Lamar (Jacob), Brandon Lamar (Cassie), Caitlyn Cummings (Trevor) and Anthony Hayes (Sara); and his great grandchildren, Brookelyn Nunley, Madalyn Nunley, Blaine Nunley, Bryce Nunley, Waylon Cummings, Cruz Hallman, Max Hallman, Watson Pressley, Wrenley Grace Cummings, Tara Pawson and Jordan Pawson.
