With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanetta Downs of Cumberland City, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joanetta shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joanetta farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene "Bud" Smith and Irene Howell Smith; and her siblings, Paul "Buster" Smith, Jimmy "Babe" Smith and Linda Gibbs.
She is survived by: her husband Tracy Downs; her brother Rudy Smith; her sister-in-law Jinny Biggs; and her pet Zipper. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews.
