It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Donald McDavid of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, born in Saint Charles, Virginia, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Carl and Frances Carter McDavid; his wife Susan McDavid; and his siblings, Rick McDavid and Darla Hilton.

He is survived by : his sons, Shane McDavid (Heather) of Shelbyville, KY and Eric McDavid (Natasha) of Pennington Gap, VA; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Reece, Timothy and Charles; his siblings, Bill McDavid of Jonesville, VA, Brenda Cox of Gate City, VA and Terra McDavid; and his close friend Randy Napier. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
