He was predeceased by: his father Fuller Whitaker. He is survived by: his mother Edna Whitaker; his wife Kristen Whitaker; his children, Mary Whitaker (Dalton), John Michael Whitaker, Michelle Gilbert (David), Stephanie Whitaker (Malike), Brooklynn Whitaker and Hunter Whitaker; his grandchildren, Bradley, Erin, Eleanor, Ayden, Cheyanne, Josiah and Bryson; and his siblings, Mary Whitaker and John Whitaker (Tami). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the RoHo Charitable Trust.
