He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard S. Maynard and Frances Turyn; his stepfather Paul E. Maynard; and his son Edward Paul Maynard, II. He is survived by: his wife Anita Honea; his son David A. Maynard; and his brothers, H. Samuel Maynard (Sherry) and James A. Maynard (Kay). He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
