She is survived by: her children, Marty Cate (Susanne), Pam Cate and Ben Schlechter of Dandridge, TN; her grandchildren, Joseph Cate (Tina), Heather Sartain (Nathan), James Cate (Jordan) and Brendon "Goob" Cate (Katie); her great grandchildren, Haleigh Ausband (Brandon Skeen), Ethan Cate, Kyler Harrison, Addy Harrison and Tristan Cate; her great great grandchild Skeen; her stepchildren, Daphne Schlechter Fielder (Byron) and Walter Edwin Schlechter III; and her siblings-in-law, John Schlechter (Eleanor), Alvin Schlechter (Sandy) and Janice Cole.
