He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Tipton Rush; his daughter Debbie Rush; his brother Lonnie Rush; and his half-sister Betty. He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Steve, Betty Tipton, Richard, Linda Tipton, Greg, Brenda Foreman and Wilma Rush; and his half-sister Linda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
