It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Schubert (Dandridge, Tennessee), who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy; his father Glen Schubert (Verna); his half-sister Yvonne McDonald; his mother Esteen Sparkman; and his grandmother Lillian Lunsford.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jimmy" Schubert and Toni Schubert Lawson (Doug); his grandsons, Brandon Lawson (Kira), Douglas "Drew" Lawson (Jessica), Laiken, Isaak, Taylin, Zaylee, Cali, Memphis, Logan and Connor; his friends, Brenda Star and Leamon Callahan; Earl and Jennifer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church (812 Hopewell St, Dandridge, TN 37725). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In accordance with his wishes, the family asks that - in lieu of flowers - memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of his daughter, Toni Schubert Lawson. (ALSAC / St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place - Memphis, Tennessee 38105).
