It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Collett of Darden, Tennessee, who passed away on October 21, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Belle Hayes and Bob Hayes; her daughter Tammy Lynn Cox; and her siblings, Robert Jr. Hayes, Dennis Hayes, Larry "Bud" Hayes, Mildred Thomas, Carolyn Baker, Betty Jo Barham and Marie Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband Jessie "Bud" Collett of Darden, TN; and her children, John "Bubba" Cox of Horseshoe Lake, AR, Donnie Wayne Cox (Labreeska) of Savannah, TN, Clay Collett (Ginger) of Parsons, TN, Danny Ray Collett (Devin) of Centerville, TN and Dawn Henson (Josh) of Scotts Hill, TN. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beacon Church of Christ (1050 Beacon Rd, Parsons, TN 38363). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the Wesson's Chapel Cemetery.
