He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Gillespie Brown; his sons, James Brown (Chenera) of Nashville and Anthony Brown (Carrie) of La Vergne, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Dean, Brooklyn and Isabelle; his great grandchild Hazley; his brother Ronald C. Allen of Atlanta, Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Donnie Gillespie (Alyne), Gerald Gillespie and Margie Jackson (Walter); his nieces and nephews, Tony, Derrik Allen, Shawn Gillespie, Bobby Gallaher, Rosalyn Gallaher, Shavasha Gillespie and LaTasha Rogers; and his cousins, David, Janet Black, Crystal Jones, Portia Jones and Anise Thorpe.
