He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Kelly Hobbs and Leona Hobbs (Woodruff); his wife Patsy Ruth Hobbs (Brinkley); his son Robert "Chip" Hobbs; and his granddaughter Sarah Clifford.

He is survived by : his children, Rev. David Hobbs (Ruth) of Dayton, Rev. Andrew Hobbs (Shelli) of Avalon, CA and Christy Walton (Greg) of Dayton. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
