She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ross Mason and Emily Mason (Jacobs); her husband Gene Harlow Chadwick; her daughter Susan Fox Humphrey; her brother Ross Jacobs Mason; and her half-siblings, Johanna Ross Smith, David Benjamin Mason, Marion Spaid, Hazel Spaid, Jessie Nelson, Margaret Myers, Donald John Mason and Chester Fleishhacker.
She is survived by: her children, Caryl Shanks (Robert) of Richmond, VA, Barbara Henderson (John) of Battle Creek, MI, Jean Burgess (Lewis) of Salisbury, NC, William Fox of Salisbury, NC, Rodney Chadwick of Richmond, VA and Mark Chadwick (Melissa) of Keysville, VA; and her nephew Mitch Mason. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
