He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Smith and Doris Dillard Smith; and his brother Randall Smith. He is survived by: his son Daniel Smith; his stepson Chris Hood; his granddaughter Kyra Hood; and his siblings, Terry Smith and Vickie Wolfe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
