He is survived by: his parents, Jack Krause and Fern Krause of Illinois; his wife Lisa Wolfson Jones of Dayton; his son Brandon Jones of Dayton; and his siblings, Martin Krause (Kathy) of Illinois and Michelle Krause (Moe) of Illinois. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Burchard Cemetery.
He was a longtime chess coach and a member of the Renaissance Knights Foundation.
