He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Carter and Charlsie Fox Carter; and his siblings, Louie, Tommy, Dewayne, Robbie and Juanell Carter.
He is survived by : his wife Hope Carter; his daughters, Debbie Fagg (Larry) and Cherie Davis (Mike); his granddaughter Amber of Cherelle, A. J.; and his siblings, Ella Mae Gibson, Joyce Pritchett, Clifford Carter and Harvey Carter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family, and a host of friends.
