He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Underwood and Gussie Underwood; and his son-in-law Dave Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Marie Jiles Underwood; his daughters, Lisa Burgess and Amy Underwood; his grandchildren, Jeff Franklin (Roberta) and Tiffany Franklin; and his great grandchildren, Wil and Wyatt Franklin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Decatur Funeral Home and Cremation Services (163 Arrants Rd, Decatur, TN 37322). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pisgah Cemetery Pisgah Cemetery.
