It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Roy Sneed of Decatur, Tennessee, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Sneed and Lena Sneed; his brother Bill; his siblings-in-law, Sue Sneed, Hubert Walden and R. E. Gennoe; his nephew Adam Gennoe; his wife Donna Stokes Sneed; his son Travis; his daughter-in-law Jan Sneed of Decatur; his daughter Tabitha; his son-in-law Chris Lowe of Athens; his grandchildren, Gabe (Sarah Sneed), Madison Lowe, Kaitlyn (Mack Bailey) and MaKayla (Trinity Richesin); his great grandchildren, Aliyah Sneed, Wesley Sneed and Noah Bailey; and his pet Champ.
He is survived by: his siblings, Donnie Sneed, Sue Gennoe (Maudell Walden) and Faye (Jimmy Dunn); his sister-in-law Lou York; and his nephew Corey Stokes (family: Kristen, Maddox, Malia, Maverick). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved church family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services (163 Arrants Rd, Decatur, TN 37322). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
