She was predeceased by : her father Rudgil Smith; her husband Otis Duke; and her sisters, Ardel Jolly, Yolanda Mae Delashmit, Noma Jean Wilson and Cleo Richards.

She is survived by : her children, Richard Duke (Sandra) and Sheila Maxwell (Jackie); her grandchildren, Micki Maxwell (Jon), Holly Silcock (Seth), John Maxwell (Angela), Laura Duke and Nathan Duke (Kristen); her great grandchildren, Tad Ward (Brittni), Lacy Lanier (Ryan), Tyler Maxwell, Hayden Maxwell, Austyn Silcock, Smith Silcock, Henry Duke and Adeline Duke; her great great grandchildren, Hudson Ward, Harrison Ward, Ace Lanier and Mercer Lanier; and her sister Dorothy Pitts.
