It is with sadness that the passing of Shirley Jean McGowan of Decatur, Tennessee is shared. Shirley, born on October 3, 1951, passed away on June 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Shirley will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her husband James McGowan; her parents, Aleck Pritchett and Kathleen Pritchett; and her siblings, Sam Pritchett, Alvin Pritchett and Brenda McGuire.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim McGowan (Rebecca) and Mike McGowan (Kristie); her grandson Konner James Paxton McGowan; her sister Becky Pritchett (Peggy); and her pet Littleman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKamey Animal Center in Shirley's memory, honoring her love for animals.
