It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Dyer Potts in Decaturville, Tennessee, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Neill Potts; her parents, Alvis Blankenship and Dorothy Virginia McDaniel Blankenship; her sister Caroline Harston; her granddaughter Sara Kay Tidwell; and her former husband Jerry L. Dyer.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Dyer (Mary Beth) and Tina Rhodes (Cotton); her siblings, Jim Blankenship (Faye), Larry Blankenship (Brenda), Bobby Blankenship (Nikki), Linda Stansbury (Steve), Minda Fesmire (Eddie) and Kathy Strohm (George); her grandchildren, Cheyene (Jerimane), Blair (Tyler), Brooke, Olivia, Braylyn and Barrett; and her great grandchildren, Kendall and Kaden.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pafford Funeral Home (71 Monroe St, Lexington, TN 38351). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
