He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburt Nicholson and Vera Mae Nicholson (Stone); his sister Sheila Pemberton; his stepson Timothy "Shot Gun" Brewer; and his brothers-in-law, William Tucker and Bobby Pemberton.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Nicholson; his daughter Darlene Nicholson; his grandsons, Issac Nicholson and Daniel Nicholson; his siblings, Wanda Tucker and Paul Nicholson (Vivian); and his stepson LaFayette Brewer (Stacie). He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
