He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Sue Cox; his parents, Esco Cox and Betty Cox; and his brothers, Tommy and Harold Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Culbertson (Bob), Christina Cox and David Cox, Jr. (Sherry); his grandchildren, Peyton, Cameron Cox, Austin, Andrew Stagnolia and Colby Cox; and his siblings, Janice, Virginia, Theresa, Steve, Mark, Richard, Johnny, Timmy and Danny Cox. He is also survived by many other family members and good friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation (51 Edmonds Dr, Oliver Springs, TN 37840). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
