He was predeceased by: his parents, Lendric Elliott and Barbara Jean Elliott Burns (Polk); his brothers, Lemuel Elliott, Billy Wayne Elliott and Eddie Ray Elliott; and his half-siblings, Johnny Elliott and Frances Dunn.

He is survived by: his children, Christy Moss, Malachi Gordon (April), Shanta Harris (Tony) and Christopher Moss (Starr); and his siblings, Phillip Joe Elliott, Troy Allen Elliott, Loraine Moss (Jimmy) and Marilyn Ruth Washington (Willie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
