She was predeceased by: her parents, James Malcom and Fannie Lee Martin-Bates; her brothers, Kenneth Owen and Robert Wilson Bates; and her son Kenneth Ray Hudgins.
She is survived by: her brothers, Joe and Glen Bates (Ray Hudgins); and her daughter Pamela Lawrence. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
