He was predeceased by: his parents, Willy P. Powers Sr. and Maxie Marie Berryman Powers; and his siblings, Willie P. Powers, Jr., Thomas Ralph Powers and Wanda Lewis Hasley.
He is survived by: his former wife Jeanie Hagewood; his children, Tasha Powers of Montgomery, TX and Garry Maurice Powers, Jr. of Dickson, TN; and his grandson Jonmark McLeod of Montgomery, TX. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
