He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Thompson and Lucille Pate Thompson; his son James Allen Thompson, Jr.; and his brother Lawrence Thompson. He is survived by: his son Brian Lewis Thompson (Angie) of Dickson, TN; his sisters, Shirley Dover of Dickson, TN and Debra Horsley (Mark) of Dickson, TN; his grandchildren, Sturgis Thompson and Libby Thompson; his great grandchildren, Abbie Whittington and Hunter Whittington; his nieces and nephews, Peggy Thompson, Mike Thompson, Eric Thompson (Tammy), Natashia Blanks (Jeremy), Nathanael Thompson and Lucinda Bishop (Derek); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dalton Duke, Will Duke, Grayce Thompson-Blanks, Rylee Thompson, Brady Thompson, John Lawrence Thompson and Harli Blanks.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
