We announce the death of Joe Douglas Spann Jr. (Dickson, Tennessee), who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 59. Joe will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Joe’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Douglas Spann Sr. and Margaret Inez Work Spann; and his grandparents, Clarence, Mary Spann, William and Mary Work.
He is survived by: his children, Jackson Brian Spann and Jodie Danielle Spann Noble (Lester); and his granddaughter Harper Danielle Noble.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spann Funeral Home (1961 Hwy 48 N, Dickson, TN 37055). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Joe's memory to the Greenwood Cemetery Maintenance fund.
