He is survived by: his close friend Tammy Dawson; his son John Johnson (Alyson); his grandson Kaiden James Dawson; his sisters, Brenda Cathey (Bubba) and Glenda Sullivan (Carl); and his sister-in-law Connie Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
