He is survived by: his wife Carol Heflin of Dickson, TN; his children, Shannon Heflin (Amanda) of Pleasant View, TN and Shonda Stivers of North Dakota; his stepson John Michael (Holly) of Bellevue, TN; his siblings, Tom Heflin of Nashville, TN and Bonnie Yarbrough (Dennis) of Clarksville, TN; and his grandchildren, Olivia Heflin, Carter Heflin, Sydney Stivers, Christian Stivers, Katelynn Stivers, Adeen Michael and Josephine Michael. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
