He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Slemmons and Ora Elizabeth Allen Robinson; his sisters, J. B. Robinson (Bill Robinson), Florence Cerda, Jane Farley and Betty Southerland; and his wife Janie Faye Deason Robinson.

He is survived by: his children, Richard S. Robinson of Dickson, TN, Andrew Shay Robinson (Karen) of Dickson, TN and Amy LeShea Robinson Suddeath (John) of Dickson, TN; his sister Patricia Ann Haley of College Grove, TN; his grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth Robinson-Alexander (Jacob), John Parker Luke Robinson, Joshua Michael Robinson, Alexandria Barnett (Mikael), Charles Austin Robinson, Jordan Andrew Robinson, Alexander Gray (Kelsey), Kristan Qualls (Derek), Hayden Luke Suddeath and Aubrey Claire Suddeath; and his great grandchildren, Ragan Elizabeth Alexander, Caroline Rose Alexander, Isabella Barnett, Abigayle Barnett, Mikaela Barnett, Penelope Qualls, Theodore Qualls, Kristopher Qualls, Riley Marise and Autumn Marise.
