He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Pritchard and Elizabeth Stephens (Eversole); his wife Frances Stephens; his daughter Sandra Stephens; and his brother Lawrence P. Stephens, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Robert Stephens, Jr. (Jennifer), Daniel Stephens (Jill), Teea Lynn Cardinali and Lee Beth Huntley. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
