With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rubie Martin Corkan (Dickson, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott Martin and Edna Brittain Martin; her husband John "Jack" "Pop" Corkan Jr.; her siblings, Ralph Martin, Pearl Williams and Velva Ann Stacey; her children, Carol Thompson and Richard Corkan; her grandson John Heath; and her great grandchildren, Rileigh Heath, Riley Doby and Mayson Garton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Corkan Heath of White Bluff, TN and Kaye Wilkerson (Ed) of Nashville, TN; and her children-in-law, JoJo Corkan of Success and Bren Thompson of White Bluff, TN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Shriners' Children's Hospitals or to Caris Hospice.
