He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Wilson and Pauline Smith Mitchell; his wife Tena Mitchell (Winn); his brother Don Mitchell; and his granddaughter Tristen.
He is survived by: his daughter Trina Capps (Tommy) of Bon Aqua, TN; his stepson Brad Parker (Rebecca) of North Carolina; his brother Johnny Mitchell (Linda) of Dickson; his grandchildren, Hunter, Haley and Becky; and his stepgrandchildren, Summer, Wyatt and Amelia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
